A method for magnifying or reducing image contents and reproducing the magnified or reduced image contents in a home network is provided to enlarge and reduce an image freely in a direction desired by a user. A method for magnifying or reducing an image and reproducing the magnified or reduced image through a home network includes a step of designating a specific image cell of the image as a reference cell and adding or excluding neighboring cells based on a requested direction, and a step of displaying a cell block including the specific image cell, to/from which the neighboring cells are added/excluded. The image includes a plurality of image cells.
