A mechanical drum brake is provided to cut down the manufacturing cost by integrally forming a back plate and an inner dust ring, and to restrict inflow of foreign matters into the drum brake by arranging the inner dust ring between the back plate and a drum. A mechanical drum brake includes a drum(110), a back plate(120), a couple of brake shoes(130), and an inner dust ring(150). The drum is rotated with a wheel, and the back plate is combined with a vehicle body and arranged in the rear part of the drum. The brake shoes are operated outward at the edge of the back plate, and a lining(133) is attached to the brake shoe and contacted to the inner periphery of the drum. The inner dust ring is arranged between the back plate and the drum, and formed annularly. The inner dust ring is placed in front of the back plate to prevent inflow of foreign matters by shutting off a dust inlet passage.
