An aspherical lens and a manufacturing process thereof are provided to compose a compact image-sensing optical system having high performance by using a high-refractivity low-dispersion glass. An aspherical lens is formed by press-molding accurately an optical glass. The aspherical lens is formed of the optical glass having a refractive index(nd) of 1.83 and more, and an Abbe number(Vd) of 40 and more. The aspherical lens includes B2O3 of 20 to 45 mol%, La2O3 of 5 to 24 mol%, and ZnO of 22 to 42 mol% but containing no Li2O. The aspherical lens includes an optical thin film which is formed on a surface thereof. The optical glass contains Gd2O3 of 0 to 20%, SiO2 of 0 to 20%, ZrO2 of 0 to 10%, Ta2O5 of 0 to 10%, WO3 of 0 to 10%, Nb2O5 of 0 to 10%, TiO2 of 0 to 10%, Bi2O3 of 0 to 10%, GeO2 of 0 to 10%, Ga2O3 of 0 to 10%, Al2O3 of 0 to 10%, BaO of 0 to 10%, Y2O3 0 to 10%, and Yb2O3 of 0 to 10%, as optional components.
