An image display device is provided to generate a start signal and a second latch signal stably by using a timing controller having a specific circuit configuration for the stable signal generation. An image display device comprises a display part, a gate line driving circuit(2), a source line driving circuit(3), and a timing controller(4). The display part is installed with source lines and gate lines in parallel. The timing controller controls the timings of the gate line driving circuit and the source line driving circuit. The source line driving circuit includes a horizontal shift resistor(31), a plurality of first latch circuits(33), a plurality of second latch circuits(34), a plurality of D/A switching circuits(35), and a demultiplexer(37). The timing controller includes a pulse generating circuit, a signal transmitting circuit, and a shift pulse generating circuit. The timing controller includes a pulse generation circuit, a signal transfer circuit, and a shift pulse circuit.
