Automatic circuit-breaker with means for setting protection parameters

A selection setting switch configured by the front panel, enables setup of protection parameter (P1). A communication unit enables remote setup of protection parameter (P2). Protection parameter (P3) is determined by comparing protection parameters (P1,P2) and is displayed. A process unit generates a trip signal (D) based on current (I) measured by current sensor and the protection parameter (P3). A process unit connected to current sensor and selection setting switch performs a basic protection function. Another process unit is connected to the process unit and communication module. The production parameter (P3) indicates either of two protection parameters (P1,P2).
