<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The device (5) has a main electric energy source and a high power unit e.g. ground contact type vehicle electric unit, where the power unit is activated during a short interval of time. The high power unit is supplied directly by an electrical network, and two super capacitors (SC1, SC2) are recharged by the main electric energy source when the device is in an active state. The high power unit is supplied with high power when the device is in an inactive state. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for boosting power supplied to an electric unit e.g. head light, dashboard screen and air conditioner, of a motor vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The high power unit is supplied with high power when the device is in the inactive state, so that the device supplies high voltage to the high power unit in the event of failure of main power supply, thus permitting the high power unit to pass operating points and to maintain optimal performance level.
