Method of providing components of a lift, an escalator or a moving walkway comprises providing a parts list containing definitions of the components required for a specific lift, escalator or moving walkway and the number thereof; providing assembly information comprising details about assembly sectors and/or assembly steps of this lift, escalator or moving walkway; identifying and providing the components in accordance with the parts list and - combining these components with use of the assembly information to form delivery groups, wherein the delivery groups are packed up by packing material to form delivery units.
