PYRENE COMPOUND AND LIGHT EMITTING TRANSISTOR DEVICE UTILIZING THE SAME

A pyrene compound that when used in a light emitting transistor device, excels in both the properties of light emission and mobility; and a light emitting transistor device utilizing such a specified pyrene compound. As a main constituent of a luminescent layer of light emitting transistor device, use is made of a pyrene compound of the chemical formula: (1) wherein R1 is a group selected from among an optionally substituted heteroaryl, an optionally substituted aryl (provided that unsubstituted phenyl is not included), an optionally substituted alkyl of C1-C20 backbone chain, an optionally substituted alkenyl, an optionally substituted alkynyl, an optionally substituted silyl and a halogenated group.
