<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club selection support device and a selection method which permit the selection of an optimum golf club by grasping the swing characteristics of a golfer on the basis of data having a small number of variable elements for every stroke of a golf ball. <P>SOLUTION: The golf club selection support device has a displacement detection device 12 which detects head displacement to measure the speed and the rotation speed of the head of a golf club just before the club strokes a golf ball B and an arithmetic processor 13 which obtains the value of the head speed and the value of the head rotation speed/head speed on the basis of the detection data of the displacement detection device 12 and selects the optimum golf club from a plurality of golf clubs having different characteristics in accordance with the values. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
