<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensively manufacturable color printer which can perform high-speed color printing with an ordinary resolution and color printing with a resolution higher than the ordinary resolution. <P>SOLUTION: Characteristically, this color printer comprises: a tandem printing mechanism which includes photo conductor drums 21<SB>1</SB>-21<SB>4</SB>, a high-resolution LED head 22<SB>1</SB>for forming an electrostatic latent image on the photo conductor drum 21<SB>1</SB>, and ordinary-resolution LED heads 22<SB>2</SB>-22<SB>4</SB>for forming the electrostatic latent image on the photo conductor drums 21<SB>2</SB>-21<SB>4</SB>; and a four-cycle printing mechanism which performs four-cycle printing by using the photo conductor drum 21<SB>1</SB>and the high-resolution LED head 22<SB>1</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
