PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article conveying equipment, properly and efficiently conveying an article branched off to a branch conveying line from a main conveying line by the branch conveying line. SOLUTION: This article conveying equipment includes: a plurality of branch conveying lines 3 for conveying the articles 1 conveyed by the main conveying line 2 to branch to different conveying destinations B; a branching means 4 for separating the articles 1 conveyed by the main conveying line 2 into a plurality of branch conveying lines 3; an information management means 20 for managing the speed adjusting information for adjusting the conveying speeds of the plurality of branch conveying lines 3 to the speed according to the separated article 1 to write the speed adjusting information to an information storing tag 15 by an information writing means 19; a speed adjusting information read means 18 for reading the speed adjusting information written to the information storing tag 15; and a conveying speed adjusting means 22 for adjusting the conveying speeds of the plurality of branch conveying lines based on the speed adjusting information read by the speed adjusting information read means 18.
