PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a rubber sheet containing short fiber which comprises extruding a rubber containing short fiber and kneaded with an extrusion screw into a cylindrical molding, smoothly without deformation, while controlling rotation of the rubber in the passage of an annular expansion die and incising the extruded product in the direction of extrusion so as to make the short fiber oriented in the width direction of the sheet. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a rubber sheet containing short fiber comprises kneading short fiber and a rubber with an extrusion screw 4, extruding the kneaded product through an annular expansion die 5 in which the passage 8 is expanded gradually toward the outlet and incising the resultant cylindrical molding 10 into a sheet. Wile a liquid lubricant is caused to flow from the passage 23 to the passage 8 of the annular expansion die 5, a rubber 15 containing the short fiber is caused to pass through the liquid lubricant so that the short fiber is oriented in the circumferential direction. At the same time, the rubber 15 is extruded smoothly into the cylindrical molding 10 with its rotation controlled, and the cylindrical molding 10 is cut and removed in the direction of the extrusion and wound in the form of a rubber sheet.
