PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost method for charging a secondary battery and a charger by utilizing a simple method although full charge is detected by a peak voltage or -ΔV. SOLUTION: By the method for charging the secondary battery, the secondary battery is charged with a constant current, the peak voltage of an output battery voltage is detected in the secondary battery, and the full-charge is determined. The peak voltage of the battery voltage is detected after the battery voltage becomes a prescribed voltage value or higher. The prescribed voltage value should be changed according to battery temperature. After and before the battery voltage becomes the prescribed value or higher, -ΔV, which drops byΔV from the peak voltage of the battery voltage, is detected for determining the full charge.
