PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focus information display system for stabilizing the state of focusing display without lowering focusing precision when performing a focus adjustment on the basis of focus information display. SOLUTION: A CPU 10 of a lens device 1 detects a focus state by acquiring a focus evaluated value showing the level of the contrast of a subject image formed by an optical system from an AF circuit 30, and displaying the focus information within a view finder 54 or the like according to the detected focus state during MF control or the like. In such a case, in non-focusing display, the focusing display is performed by determining that the focusing state is achieved under a severe condition, and in the focusing display, the focusing display is prevented from being canceled by determining that the focusing state is achieved under a loose condition.
