PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece conveying apparatus and method, dispensing with a pallet, and simply changing a posture while a conveying medium is still loaded with a workpiece. SOLUTION: In the workpiece conveying apparatus, a plurality of workpieces are sequentially conveyed along a conveying passage to a plurality of workpiece treating devices respectively having a conveying passage for the workpiece W on the treating area and disposed side by side to connect the conveying passages. The apparatus includes: a conveying tape T for conveying the respective workpieces W in the state of being fixed to one of the surface and back thereof; and a tape feeding means for feeding the conveying tape T along the conveying passage.
