PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brushless motor in which arrangement position of a sensor magnet is determined suitably and detection precision of the rotary position of a rotor can be enhanced while preventing the length of the rotating shaft from increasing. SOLUTION: A sensor magnet 9 is secured by a securing member 50 to the end face 8a of a rotor core 8 on the end frame side, and the securing member 50 is provided with a projection 52 extending in the axial direction from the end face 8a of the rotor core 8. At the tip of the projection 52, an annular magnet securing portion 53 extending radially outward from the tip of the projection 52 substantially perpendicularly to the axial direction and having the outside diameter substantially equal to the outside diameter of the rotor core 8 is formed. Since the sensor magnet 9 is secured to a securing portion 51 provided at the tip of the projection 52, a clearance is provided between the end face 8a of the magnet securing portion 53 on the rotor core 8 side and the end face 9a of the rotor core 8 on the sensor magnet 9 side.
