PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein it is not possible to handle data obtained by performing predetermined arithmetic processing on color reproduction data in a photographing camera part and operation data of an imaging device as meta-data intended to be photographed by a photographer. SOLUTION: An apparatus for photographing a content comprises: a mode in which imaging device operation data or the like are made into meta-data, when outputting a photographed video signal onto a display device, it is confirmed whether the display device includes an image quality improvement function for optimizing display processing including color reproduction using the meta-data and when the display device includes the function for optimizing display using the meta-data, the video signal is converted into a video signal in a space wider than a standard chrominance space for ordinary display of the video signal and output together with the meta-data; and a mode in which when the display device does not include the function for optimizing display using the meta-data, the photographed video signal is output within a conventional chrominance space.
