PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive, wherein the generation of a resonance sound is prevented by suppressing resonances of a chassis and a shielding plate when an optical disk is rotated without using any screws. SOLUTION: A disk drive 3 and an optical pickup unit 6 are housed in a chassis 8, and a shielding plate 7 is attached to the chassis 8 so as to cover the upper part of the chassis 8. Two fixing columns 84 and 85 are formed for the chassis 8, and two fixing holes 71 and 72 with which the fixing columns 84 and 85 are engaged, are formed for the shielding plate 7. one fixing hole 71 has an oval shape smaller than the diameter of the fixing column 84 in a back and forth direction. The other fixing hole 72 has an oval shape smaller than the diameter of the fixing column 85 in a left and right direction. By fitting the fixing columns 84 and 85 into the fixing holes 71 and 72 by light pressure, the resonances of the chassis 8 and the shielding plate 7 when the optical disk is rotated by a disk drive 3 is suppressed.
