PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the moving range of a lens comparatively small (to shorten the entire length of a lens barrel). SOLUTION: The focus lens device provided in the lens barrel of a television camera is equipped with: a cylindrical cam having an inner circumferential surface formed with a first cam groove and a second cam groove; a supporting ring rotatably supporting the cylindrical cam; a cylindrical cam driving mechanism for rotating the cylindrical cam; a first lens having an engaging part engaged with the first cam groove and advancing/retreating in an optical axis direction by the rotation of the cylindrical cam; a second lens having an engaging part engaged with the second cam groove and advancing/retreating in the optical axis direction by the rotation of the cylindrical cam; a mounting frame equipped with the cylindrical cam, the supporting ring, the cylindrical cam driving mechanism, the first lens and the second lens; and a mounting frame driving mechanism provided in the lens barrel, coupled with the mounting frame and allowing the mounting frame to advance/retreat in the optical axis direction.
