PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic image forming method, capable of obtaining superior cleaning performance and maintaining superior durability over a long period, even when toner of fine particle size of a substantially spherical shape is used. SOLUTION: In the method of forming an image, by transferring a toner image to a medium after forming an electrostatic latent image on a photoreceptor 1 and obtaining visualized electrostatic latent image by using the toner, and then fixing the toner image to obtain the visible image, the toner has≥0.95 average circularity and a≥7.0μm volume average particle size, and a cleaning blade 30, made of a rubber elastic body is used in a cleaning stage of removing untransferred toner remaining on the photoreceptor 1 from the photoreceptor 1. The cleaning blade 30 contains organic or inorganic particulates which are made principally of polyurethane and has a≤400 nm average particle size, and projections of 10 nm to 1.0μm in height are formed on the surface of the cleaning blade 30.
