PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire clamp that eliminates the need for screws and a tool, such as a driver, used for tightening the screws in order to attach a fixable member, prevents a wire from being made flat when pressed, is free from occurrence of powder, resulting from scraping of a metal strip or the like, and easy to replace, and to provide an image reading devices using the wire clamp. SOLUTION: The wire clamp tightens the wire 9 used for driving the carriage 7 of an image reading device, driven by a drive motor 8, and pulled to a spring 18 by hooks 9a attached to both ends.
