PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of variation of cell gaps of a TFT substrate and a color filter substrate, and damages to a pixel circuit due to the application of too much force to the pixel circuit by a beads spacer, even when the beads spacer is arranged on the pixel circuit of the TFT substrate. SOLUTION: Difference in height is created, by creating a part to which color resist is applied and a part to which the color resist is not applied, in a BM part of the color filter substrate. Alternatively, a base is provided at a position that does not face the pixel circuit of the TFT substrate on a BM of the color filter substrate.
