PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a duct type silencer making suppression of low frequency noise and promotion of mixing of a high speed exhaust gas jet stream and a low speed air stream, easy in assembling of a stirring portion and superior in portability and compactness. SOLUTION: A part or a whole part of a cross section flow passage of the duct is constituted by a multi-leaf pipe 21 constituted such that a stalk part 21a having the maximum flow passage area is arranged at a center, a plurality of leaf parts 21b having the smaller flow passage area than the stalk part 21a are arranged at a periphery of the stalk part 21a and the stalk part 21a and the leaf parts 21b are communicated with each other, or constituted by a group 20 of multi-leaf pipes, i.e., a collection body of the multi-leaf pipes 21.
