PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide starch rice cracker having potato starch as the main raw material, excellent in a product shape and palate feeling, and having moderate hardness, and to provide a method for producing the starch rice cracker. SOLUTION: This method for producing the starch rice cracker comprises using potato starch as the main raw material, adding an auxiliary material and water to the main raw material followed by kneading and molding, and baking or frying the product. The starch rice cracker which is excellent in swelling stability, a product shape and palate feeling, and has moderate hardness can be produced by including 2-150 pts.wt. of waxy potato starch and/or processed waxy potato starch in 100 pts.wt. of potato starch as the main raw material. The processed waxy potato starch to be used can be etherified starch of waxy potato starch, esterified starch of waxy potato starch, or processed waxy potato starch like cross-linking starch of waxy potato starch.
