PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-mounted video display, equipped with a display unit and a control unit or the like which can be easily mounted on the body, and which can be achieved hand-free. SOLUTION: This head-mounted video display is provided with a display unit mounted on the head or face for displaying a video; a control unit for controlling the operation of the display unit; and a cable for electrically connecting to the display unit to the control unit. This head-mounted video display device is provided with a strap whose one end is mounted on the control unit so as to be freely attachable/detachable, and whose other end is mounted in the middle section of the cable so as to be freely detachable.
