PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting panel type lighting apparatus improved in the attachment/detachment workability of a light emitting panel. SOLUTION: A light emitting panel type lighting apparatus 10 is provided with: a light emitting panel 1 for emitting a light from the front surface 1a; and a housing 3 for accommodating the light emitting panel 1 to cover it from the back surface 1b side. In the housing 3, a holding member 2 having an insertion port 24 for inserting/removing the light emitting panel 1 in the direction almost parallel to the front surface 1a, and holding the light emitting panel 1 inserted from the insertion port 24 is arranged. An end on the side opposite to the insertion port 24 for the holding member 2 is supported by the housing 3 to be freely rotatable so that the holding member 2 may swing in the direction of the opening on the housing 3.
