PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving system equipped with a video display unit in a simple configuration. SOLUTION: The receiving apparatus 3 comprises: a digital circuit part 13 for converting compressed digital signals output from a digital demodulation part 12 into digital video/audio signals; a video/audio output circuit 14 for converting the digital video/audio signals output from the digital circuit part 13 into analog video/audio signals; and an intermediate frequency processing circuit part 15 for converting intermediate frequency signals into audio intermediate frequency signals. Accordingly, the video display unit 4 does not need to mount the video/audio processing IC for digital signal processing, and the receiving system can be achieved by using the video display unit in the simple configuration.
