PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic relay with reduced in the rise of a temperature of a coil which can be structured even if eliminating common lead wires. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic relay is constituted such that the opening and closing operation of an electric contact switching mechanism 3 is performed so that a movable iron piece 41 is formed of a core-opposing piece 41a and a movable contact piece rocking piece 41b integrally formed so as to exhibit nearly an L shape, the core-opposing piece 41a is arranged in opposition to iron cores 43, and at the same time, the movable contact piece rocking piece 41b is insertion-coupled with a card piece 44 in order to take charge of the rocking operation of a movable contact piece 33, so that the movable contact piece 33 is rocked in a direction crossing the operation direction of the iron cores 43.
