PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and nearly uniformly twist even a raw yarn impregnated with a liquid. SOLUTION: The double yarn twister is provided with a cheese pot 9 capable of holding a water-impregnated yarn-feeding cheese A and a yarn insertion channel 14 to insert the yarn (a) supplied from the yarn-feeding cheese and deliver the yarn to the outside of the cheese pot, and the yarn is wound around the outer circumference of the cheese pot to twist the yarn. A space 23 for feeding the yarn from the yarn-feeding cheese to the yarn insertion channel is encircled with a lid 22 openably closing an upper opening 20 of the cheese pot. The upper face of the lid has a flat face 29 and a through-hole 24 is opened on the flat face at a position deviated from the cheese pot axis X. The inner diameter of the hole in the lid decreases toward the feeding space side, and a receiving pan 21 to receive the yarn-feeding cheese is removably placed on the inner bottom of the cheese pot.
