PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press felt for papermaking, which suppresses the rewetting phenomenon of wet paper and having high water-squeezing property. SOLUTION: The press felt for papermaking has a fiber web layer laminated on at least one surface of a ground fabric, and the fiber web layer contains ultrafine fibers having a fiber diameter of 1 nm to 10μm in an amount of≥10 mass%. The fiber web layer squeezes water from the wet paper and is preferably composed of fibers made of thermoplastic resin. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
