PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rubber composition excellent in processability and rubber strength and reduced in petroleum resource dependency by compounding a rubber component consisting of natural rubber and/or an epoxidized natural rubber with each predetermined amount of silica, carbon black and a fatty acid salt, and to provide a tire having a tire component using the rubber composition. SOLUTION: The rubber composition is obtained by compounding 100 pts.wt. of the rubber component consisting of natural rubber and/or an epoxidized natural rubber with 20 pts.wt. or more of silica, 5 wt.% or less of carbon black and 2-10 pts.wt. of the fatty acid salt.
