PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel composition for a combustion appliance, which can reduce the feeling of discomfort upon the handling of the composition, such as oil supply, via reduction of the odor of the fuel composition itself. SOLUTION: The fuel composition for a combustion appliance is characterized in that, based on the total amount of the fuel composition, the content of aromatics is 7% by volume or less, the content of olefins is 1% by volume or less, 50% by volume distillate temperature is 70°C or higher and 125°C or lower, 90% by volume distillate temperature is 100°C or higher and 170°C or lower, distillation endpoint is 120°C or higher and 190°C or lower, Reid vapour pressure is 65 kPa or less, and sulfur content is 1 ppm by mass or less.
