PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant resin composition which exhibits flame retardancy and uses polylactic acid that is a resin material originated from a plant, and to provide a molded article comprising the same. SOLUTION: This flame retardant resin composition comprises, based on (A) 100 pts.wt. of a lactic acid-based resin, (B) 25 to 300 pts.wt. of an ethylenic copolymer, and (C) 30 to 200 pts.wt. of a flame retardant, and a molded article comprising the same. The preferable examples of (B) the ethylenic copolymer include ethylene-vinyl ether copolymers, ethylene-unsaturated carboxylate copolymers, ethylene-unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymers, and ethylene-unsaturated carboxylate-carbon monoxide copolymers.
