PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method capable of efficiently synthesizing 4,4'-diaminobiphenyl derivative. SOLUTION: The 4,4'-diaminobiphenyl derivative is obtained by irradiating ultrasonic waves on a hydrazobenzene derivative represented by general formula (I) (R is a substituent selected from a halogen atom, an alkyl, an alkoxy and trifluoromethyl; n is the number of substituents R and 1 or 2) in the presence of an acid.
