PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heat a specified region in the material to be worked before press forming in a short time without depending on its planar shape. SOLUTION: Two heating plates 70, 72 are oppositely arranged so as to be made close to and apart from each other. In the main faces of the heating plates 70, 72, projecting parts 76A, 76B, 76C, 78A and 78B are present. Just before the press forming of the material 74 to be worked, the heating plates 70, 82 are uniformly heated to a temperature higher than the heating schedule temperature of the material 74 to be worked by about 50 to 100°C by a method of electric heating, induction heating, an electric wire heater or the like. Successively, the material 74 to be worked is placed between the heating plates 70, 72, and the heating plates 70, 72 sandwich the material 74 to be worked. The projecting parts 76A, 76B, 76C, 78A and 78B are tightly stuck only to the partial region of the pressing working schedule part in the material 74 to be worked, so as to selectively heat the partial region.
