PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly clean or replace a jet nozzle prior to a fall of a cold spray quality through monitoring a deterioration of the jet nozzle in case such a phenomenon occurs. SOLUTION: This coating device is so designed as to form a coating film by jetting metallic powder at a high speed to a work 1. The device comprises a calculation means 11 which calculates a nozzle assessment value for assessing the powder deposition state to the inner wall of the jet nozzle 3 from the viewpoint of coating conditions or coating results, an assessment results display means 12 which displays the calculated nozzle assessment value, and a preset value attainment display means 13 which indicates the attainment of the calculated nozzle assessment value to the preset value.
