PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial tooth stabilizing agent, and an artificial tooth mounting method, by which a comfortable and favorable artificial tooth mounting state can be kept for a long period without causing pain, ulcers, or inflammation, in such a way as to be especially suitable to a toothless jaw patient. SOLUTION: The artificial tooth stabilizing agent comprises flexible adhesive having a polyvinyl acetate resin with low fluidity in an amount of 3-9 wt.%, dissolved in room temperature valcanizable (RTV) liquid silicone rubber, of de-acetic acid type. In the artificial tooth mounting method, an artificial tooth, to which the stabilizing agent is applied at a mucous membrane contacting part of an artificial tooth bed, is disposed on the mucous membrane after the mouth is rinsed with a saturated solution of pre-conditioned pharmacopeial sodium hydrogencarbonate to penetrate the mucous membrane. While acetic acid emitted from the artificial tooth stabilizing agent is neutralized, an alveolar ridge is modeled, and then it is taken out of the mouth. After the artificial stabilizing agent is vulcanized, the artificial tooth is mounted on the mucous membrane through the false tooth stabilizing agent. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
