PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the provision of a discharge accelerating member for scraping out dust and dirt in a dust collecting container body, when dust and dirt are discharged by a conventional vacuum cleaner, in association with the opening motion of a discharging lid, on the discharging lid is suggested, makes a difficulty in the opening of the discharging lid, when dust and dirt more than the position at which the discharge accelerating member is located are accumulated, because the lump of the dust and dirt obstructs the motion of the discharge accelerating member. SOLUTION: This vacuum cleaner is equipped with a vacuum cleaner body having a built-in electric blower, and a dust collecting case which is freely detachably provided on the vacuum cleaner body. In the electric vacuum cleaner, a collected dust housing container which catches dust and dirt is provided in the dust collecting case.
