The storage has an electro-chemical battery (3) arranged approximately in a surface center point of a spare wheel recess (2), where the storage is designed as an energy storage unit, and arranged in the spare wheel recess in a base area (1) of a motor vehicle. A capacitor storage (4) has a set of separate individual capacitor cells (4-1, 4-2, 4-3, 4-5, 4-20) that are arranged in such a manner that they surround the battery on a partial section of their outer contour in a circular-shape. A free installation space between the battery and the cells remains in the circular shape.
