The condenser has contact bodies (7) for adiabatic cooling of a cooling air flow (3), where the contact bodies are filled with water to be evaporated and are arranged in the area of the cooling air flow. A fan (2) is provided upstream of condensation elements (4, 5) in direction of flow of the cooling air flow, where the contact bodies are arranged in an suction area (8) of the fan. The condensation elements are provided for condensation of water vapor.
