The control unit has a capacitive contact sensor (1) comprising contact areas (11), which come in contact with a body part of an operator for operating the control unit, where the contact areas are heated or cooled in respective regions by peltier units (3a, 3b). The regions are provided at ends of the contact areas lying opposite to each other, where temperature gradient between the ends is adjusted by operating the control unit. The sensor has strip-like capacitors arranged parallel to each other.
