<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a fuel cell in which a membrane electrode assembly can be fabricated without giving damage to it even if a catalyst ink containing polymer electrolyte having a tendency that solubility to a solvent is similar to that of the electrolyte membrane to become an applied face is directly applied onto the electrolyte membrane. <P>SOLUTION: This manufacturing method of the fuel cell includes: a process of preparing the electrolyte membrane containing the polymer electrolyte for the electrolyte membrane; a process of preparing a catalyst, the polymer electrolyte for an electrode, the solvent in which the solubility of the respective polymer electrolytes for the electrode and for the electrolyte membrane at 25°C is 15 g/100 g or more (polymer electrolyte/solvent), and the catalyst ink containing a diluent in which the solubility of the respective polymer electrolytes for the electrode and for the electrolyte membrane at 25°C is 10 g/100 g or less (polymer electrolyte/diluent); and a process of forming at least one electrode out of the fuel electrode and the oxidizer electrode by applying the catalyst ink onto the electrolyte membrane. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
