<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader which reads an image in a hologram region of an illuminated matter by a white light source or the like, and determining authenticity of the illuminated matter. <P>SOLUTION: This image reader comprises a carrying means for carrying the illuminated matter 1 having a hologram region in a carrying direction; a first light source 4 for emitting light to an illumination part 3a in the hologram region; and a second light source 6 isolatedly provided from the first light source 4 along the carrying direction for emitting light to an illumination part 3b in the hologram region in when the hologram region is carried by a predetermined distance, and the illumination angle of light of the first light source 4 to the illumination part 3a is set different from the illumination angle of light of the second light source 6 to the illumination part 3b when the hologram region is carried by the predetermined distance. The respective reflected lights by the hologram region are received, and electric signals for the hologram region of the illuminated matter 1 are detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
