<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor element and a method of manufacturing the gas sensor element easy to manufacture, capable of reducing material cost, excellent in durability and high in precision. <P>SOLUTION: The gas sensor element 1 comprises: oxygen ion conductive solid electrolytic body 11; the electrode 12 of objective gas side provided on either surface of the solid electrolytic body 11; the electrode of reference gas side 13 formed on the other side of the solid electrolytic body 11; and the porous layer 2 for covering the electrode of objective gas side 12, and also making permeate the measurement gas. The porous layer 2 is constituted such that the coarse layer 21 of rough porosity layer at the vicinity of solid electrolyte body 11 and the fine layer 22 of smaller porosity than the coarse layer 21 at the remoter side from the solid electrolytic body than the coarse layer 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
