<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the degradation and deterioration of transmission performance of a continuously variable transmission when belt slip occurs. <P>SOLUTION: This control device comprises a speed ratio detecting means for the belt type continuously variable transmission, a belt slip detecting means, and a means for sorting a speed ratio detected by the speed ratio detecting means into one of a plurality of predetermined regions, corresponding thereto, when belt slip occurs. The frequency of belt slip is counted in sorted regions. When the counted frequency is a predetermined frequency in any of the regions, protecting control is performed to protect a V-belt at the speed ratio in the region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
