PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer which can solve contamination caused by ink in the inkjet printer, particularly can prevent the contamination caused by ink flowed out when an ink cartridge is detached from a needle member. SOLUTION: In the inkjet printer, an ink cartridge 7 is inserted to be attached to a case body 2, and the ink cartridge 7 and a recording head communicate through a hollow needle member 26. A support member 2a which supports the ink cartridge 7 in the body case 2 is equipped with a recessed ink discharge port 45 with an upper part thereof open at a location vertically downward from the needle member 26 and an ink absorbing body 46 at least on the bottom surface of the ink discharge port 45.
