PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a good printing quality with no density variation while suppressing the occurrence of a white background. SOLUTION: In an image-forming apparatus, an ink is discharged from an ink discharge means to perform recording on a recording medium, while relatively scanning the ink discharge means capable of discharging at least two types of ink having different densities to the recording medium. A region where a 1st writing band overlaps with a 2nd writing band near the end of the respective bands recorded on the recording medium by the scanning of the ink discharge is defined as a tying region, and a region other than the tying region is defined as an ordinary region. The image-forming apparatus comprises a droplet-hitting control means which controls droplet hitting so that the following formulas are satisfied: P(B)=k×P(A), P(b)=k'×P(a), and k<k'≤1, wherein P(A) represents the droplet-hitting ratio of a dark ink to the ordinary region and P(a) represents that of a light ink, and P(B) represents the droplet-hitting ratio of a dark ink to the tying region and P(b) represents that of a light ink.
