PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid filling device and a filling method for a fluid dynamic pressure bearing capable of completely removing bubbles in a fine clearance of the fluid dynamic pressure bearing, and preventing impregnation of bubbles into the filled fluid. SOLUTION: This fluid filling device for the fluid dynamic pressure bearing includes a vacuum container 110 receiving the fluid dynamic pressure bearing 10 filled with fluid, a pump 111 air-tightly connected to the vacuum container 110 and discharging the internal air of the vacuum container 110 to the external, an ultrasonic wave generator 140 adding vibration to the vacuum container 110, and a fluid dispenser 120 putting drops of the fluid into the fluid dynamic pressure bearing 10. As the fluid dynamic pressure bearing 10 is vibrated by the ultrasonic wave generator 140 when the internal air of the vacuum container 110 is discharged by the pump 111, the air existing in the fine clearance 13 between a shaft 11 and a sleeve 12 can be also discharged to the external.
