Process for preparing high molecular weight products from apathogenic anaerobe cultures

A substance capable of increasing the non-specific resistance of animals and humans is obtained by culturing apathogenic Clostridium bacteria in an aqueous medium, obtaining a sterile filtrate therefrom and separating the active material by dialysis or precipitation. It may be administered in products comprising conventional pharmaceutical carriers, e.g. by injection.
