PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device of which the number of connecting lines can be reduced while a normal block to be substituted for a redundant block can be specified. SOLUTION: The semiconductor device is constituted to have feature being provided with: a plurality of macros (401A-401D) having a plurality of usual blocks and redundant block for substituting for the normal block; first substituting information storage means (102, 103) for storing a first substituting macro information for specifying the macro to be substituted among the plurality of macros and a first substituting block information for specifying the normal block to be substituted; a first transmission line (SC1) for serially connecting the plurality of macros; and a substituting information transmission circuit for transmitting the substituting information to the specified normal block in the specified macro through the first transmission line on the basis of the first substituting macro information and the first substituting block information.
